Jeff Hargreaves is a native of Southeast Wisconsin.  He graduated from Layton School of Art and Design in 1972, married shortly afterward and settled in northeastern Wisconsin in 1978.  He raised his family while working in the advertisting industry as an art director, creative director and ultimately as a freelance illustrator.  Jeff began his training through a series of workshops, but in 2005 began a more formalized training at The Kewaunee Acedemy of Fine Art.  While still in training at the acedemy, Jeff became their first student instructor for their summer intensive program.  At the same time, he was juried into North Light Book's 'Strokes of Genius, the Best of Drawing.

Jeff is a full time representational fine artist, who also teaches painting and drawing.  In January of 2010, Jeff started an open studio life drawing group.
